The Columbia Gorge Masters in Hood River, Oregon didn’t know how fortunate they would be when Paul Jones stepped up to the plate as their head coach in May of 2007. The quality and the intensity of their workouts took a huge step up, but the members quickly realized that Paul offered much more than great workouts. Coach Paul brought an enthusiasm that was infectious and motivating to swimmers of all abilities. Through his outreach programs to triathletes and fitness swimmers, the membership has grown and the workouts regularly see 30+ swimmers in the water on any given day.
