Dan Kornblatt was a member of Binghamton University Masters Swimming (BUMS). In 1984, he helped found the club and became President. Over the next three decades, Dan held the club together doing the administrative work. For 30 years, Dan was the Director for the BUMS’ annual meet. In 2011, Dan became Head Coach. In a small community, with limited pool time, Dan built the most successful program in the history of the Niagara LMSC. He was also on the Board of Niagara LMSC, serving as its Chair from 2000 to 2004, Vice Chair from 2012-2014, and as a member of the Competition Committee. In his role as Vice Chair, he provided advice and historical insight to the new Chair. The Niagara LMSC would not have achieved its all-time high membership and meet participation without Dan’s 30 years of service.
