For over seven years, James served as the Wisconsin Long Distance and Open Water Chair. More recently he served as the LMSC's Vice Chair. His experience led lead him to a position on the USMS Long Distance Committee. Jim's passion for open water swimming was shown by his participation in numerous national open water swims and postal swims, all the while encouraging others to join in. Jim was a frequent contributor on the topic for his LMSC newsletter.
