An active volunteer at the national, LMSC, and club levels since 2010, Catherine promoted open water and long-distance events on a regular basis. She served as the Open Water chair for the Florida Gold Coast LMSC and contributed numerous articles to the LMSC newsletter. She served on the USMS Long Distance committee since 2018 and promotes the National Championship ePostal events throughout the year but encouraging participation within the LMSC her club, often pointing out individual and relay records that might be beaten by local swimmers. Catherine was the Meet Director for the 2020 3000/6000 ePostal National Championship. She has also served as the LMSC Awards Chair since 2018. She organized the annual banquet, procured awards for Top 10 swimmers, All Americans, and LMSC Swimmers of the Year.
