Cokie was recognized as the 2011 Pacific Masters Coach of the Year and received the 2010 USMS Kerry O’Brien Coaching Award. As a knowledgeable Masters coach, she generously shared her expertise through frequent skill and technique articles in USMS national publications. She served two terms as the Pacific LMSC Coaches Chair and coordinated an educational opportunity for Pacific coaches and members – the 2011 Excel Weekend Clinic. During her second term, Cokie continued sharing by organizing a series of clinics offering skill and technique development for the LMSC’s coaches and members. She attended the USMS convention regularly and served as Vice Chair for the USMS Coaches committee.
