Babs, of the Indiana Masters LMSC (GRIN), was a very active volunteer in many roles with her team, her LMSC, and at the national level. She volunteered as the Meet director for Indiana’s Fall Classic swim meet. At the LMSC level, she wrote the GRIN newsletter and she was the Sanctions Chair. Her coach, Mel Goldstein, encouraged her, and Babs became involved at the national level as chair of the Registration Committee. Babs was an accomplished swimmer and she was named the 1995 Hoosier Indiana State Games Swimmer of the Year.
