During his 24 years on the New Mexico Masters Swimming Board, Philipp made many contributions. He built the original NMMS website in 1995. He served as Meet Director for numerous meets in southern New Mexico, including the 2001 and 2002 LCM and SCY Championships. He also hosted numerous “Rocket Science” meets at White Sands Missile Range. Phillip served as the LMSC Sanctions Chair and was a tireless good-will ambassador for Masters Swimming in New Mexico.
