U.S. Masters Swimming Dorothy Donnelly Service Award

A ten-year member of the North Carolina LMSC, Erica Braun served as chair of the USMS Compensation and Benefits Committee from 2020 through 2022. She also served on two task forces (2019 and 2023), which successfully negotiated and renewed the USMS CEO’s contract. Erika served as a member of the USMS National Board of Review hearing panel for two years as well. Her career as a senior level human resources professional made her well qualified to help develop a formal pay structure for staff positions. She suggested management competencies for the CEO and updated annual salary benchmarking for all USMS staff positions. As committee chair, she annually presented to the Board pay recommendations and bonus plan goals and awards for the USMS CEO. Due to her diligence, the organization was able to retain a well-qualified and tenured staff. The board was very impressed with Erika’s work on the committee and as chair, and grateful to have someone with her skills as a volunteer.
