2023 Spring Nationals Relay Information

Relay entry opens April 21. All relay swimmers must have entered the meet with individual events or as a relay-only swimmer by April 3, 2023. 

Here is the link to enter relays. Online relay team entry is easy to use, paperless, and available to you for unlimited edits, additions, deletions, and report printing up to the deadline for each relay event. If you have any questions while in Irvine, go to the Solutions desk near Registration.

Relays are $16 each. A credit card must be submitted when entering and updating relays online. The card will not be charged until the week following the conclusion of the meet. The card on file will only be charged for the number of relays entered following the entry deadline, regardless of number of updates made. Cash or check may be presented at the athlete registration table on-site before the last day to avoid having the card on file charged. During the week of the May 1, payments for all relays entered and seeded before the last meet day will be processed using the card on file. There are no refunds for relays entered incorrectly or not swum. 

Following relay submissions and the issuance of the relay cards, no changes in the age group or seed time are allowed. Any change of swimmers after cards are distributed must therefore keep the relay in the same age group or the relay will be disqualified. Any change in the order of swimming after issuance must be identified and noted on the card prior to the swim. Swimming in any other order than that listed on the card will result in disqualification of the relay.

Relay cards may be picked up in the registration area. Relays will not be checked for mistakes and omissions made by team representatives. Disqualifications resulting from mistakes and omissions shall not be reconsidered. Accuracy and completeness are the responsibility of the coaches and/or swimmers submitting the relays.

Relay Eligibility

Each swimmer must be a registered Masters Swimming member. Each of the four members of any relay team must be registered with the same Masters club. Unattached swimmers may not swim on relay teams.

Swimmers entering relays only and no individual events must complete the relay-only entry form, pay the surcharge, and sign the liability release. All relay swimmers must have entered the meet by April 3, 2023.

A swimmer can not swim more than once in any given relay event, with a potential maximum of 3 mixed and 2 same gender relays.

Relay Age Groups

Relay age groups are: 18+, 25+, 35+, 45+, etc. (10-year increments as high as necessary, determined by the age of the youngest relay member). Age for the meet is determined as of April 30, 2023. Designate A, B, C, etc. if you have more than one relay in the same age group.
